ricochet

Task Duration

ricochet stops a task invocation that runs longer than one hour. Raise or lower that limit for every task in the [tasks] section of ricochet-config.toml, in seconds:

ricochet-config.toml
[tasks]
# 6 hours
max_duration = 21600

Or set it as an environment variable:

Terminal window
RICOCHET_TASKS__MAX_DURATION=21600

The limit applies to scheduled invocations and to invocations started by hand, on every execution backend. A stopped invocation is marked as cancelled, and its log ends with the limit it reached.

A task can set its own limit, which replaces the server limit for that task. Set max_duration in the schedule section of its _ricochet.toml, or enter Maximum duration in minutes on the task’s Settings > Task tab.
