Quickstart

Ricochet Cloud is the managed version of Ricochet, at cloud.ricochet.rs. You create an organization, provision an instance, and then deploy to it with the same CLI you would use against a self-hosted server.

1. Sign in

   Open cloud.ricochet.rs, select Continue, and sign in with your Ricochet Cloud account.

2. Create an organization

   Every instance, member, and invoice belongs to an organization. Pick Organizations in the sidebar, then Create organization, and give it a name and a slug.

   You become its owner, and a free 14-day trial starts.

3. Create an instance

   Go to Instances and select Create instance.

   Provisioning takes around one minute.

4. Open the instance

   Select Open application on the instance card.

   You land in the Ricochet web UI already signed in, at https://<instance>-<organization>.cloud.ricochet.rs. As the first user to sign in, you will be granted the Admin role.

5. Deploy your first app

   Install the ricochet CLI, then point it at your instance:

   ricochet login -S https://<instance>-<organization>.cloud.ricochet.rs
   ricochet deploy

   From here on, deploying to a cloud instance works exactly like deploying to any other Ricochet server. Follow the user quickstart for a full walkthrough.

Tip

Creating an organization does not give its members access to your instances. Managed instance access is granted per member, under Access. To use your own identity provider for an instance, configure Instance Authentication.
